Unturned Problem For Mac
Hello Everyone, As a mac user, I'm here to help my fellow friends from the Unturned Community who have experienced problems with Unturned on Mac. If you don't want to read my story, just jump to the big title at the end. First of all, I'm going to talk about the problems linked to the game freezing during the loading screen. (don't get me wrong, a lot of these have been posted, I know, but these are different) The Problem encountered: For example, I have been experiencing issues while launching my game on my Imac (10.7.5) which already had Unturned installed 3 years ago (Unturned Classic). I then moved and changed computer, and now 'm back after 3 years, not launching Unturned on this Imac. Thus, when I finished updating to 3.0, I realized the loading screen would freeze EVERY SINGLE TIME I'd launch the game.
The story of my life struggling to find a solution: I didn't know much about these and I decided like everyone to check on the forums about these crashes. Turned out none of them worked for me. Now if you're in this situation, I can't guarantee this could be the ULTIM solution, but it's still worth trying. As I was desperate, I took a look further on the crashes and I realized that they occured on the same files. As an example. General Asset: 62 Loading. Loading Item Asset: X78/1278 (X being a number) I thought the problem was related to corrupted files, but the verify game cache didn't say so.

Then, I tried moving my Unturned Folder from My MacBook Pro to my Imac, which didn't work either. THE SOLUTION: For me, the solution was to quit using Macintosh 10.7.5 (OS X Lion), and updating to 10.12.6 (OS X Sierra), which took quite a time. But to simplify, it just launched the game like it did on my MacBook Pro. Though, I can't guarantee that the problem did come from OS X Lion, and I can't really help the people with the other versions that OS X Lion. Still, I hope I helped you and now, you can play Unturned on your Mac (I hope at least lol). Thank you for reading this post!
